Geographic Information Systems With Laboratory
Prerequisite: EES 224

This is an introductory course to GIS. GIS is a spatial analysis system designed to improve environmental decision-making. Course objectives are to examine how digital earth resources are collected, stored, analyzed and displayed. The emphasis will be on natural resource problems, although we will discuss additional applications.
